Jeshua Anderson

US lead set in Mt. SAC opener

20th April 2014

US hurdler Jeshua Anderson opened up his season in the 400m hurdles winning Mt. SAC Relays in California with a time of 49.43 seconds to set a US lead.

“I had a great field today so I just wanted to get out real hard for the first three hurdles.”

With Anderson born in California, the athlete has an affinity with Mt. SAC having competed there throughout high school and throughout his professional career so far.

“I had a great field today so I just wanted to get out real hard for the first three hurdles,” said Jeshua in reaction to the race. “I tried to use the momentum to slingshot me around the curve and finish strong.”

“The back stretch wind was pretty tough which I’m not used to. It means I had to change my race pattern which I was able to today.”

“It was a US leading time but I always want to be No.1 (in the World). Next week I’ll be at Drake Relays so I’ll look forward to running well there.”
